Useful tool to use alongside Pastorals for Pastors

As originally conceived the book Pastorals for Pastors was ti have included the text of the pastoral epistles. Tat was not popssible, however, so you have to look up each of the thirty readings elsewhere. I recently purchased the niv beutiful word Bible journal edition of the pastorals and now use it alongside the book. Expensive for what it is, I suppose, alternatively, you could make your own with an old unwanted Bible.

New book due out in the near future

After some difficulties getting there, a slim new book is now in the process of being prepared for publication. The publisher is Day One and the subject is the priesthood of all believers. We are thankful to God that this is now happening. We will keep you posted as things progress.

Journal of Andrew Fuller Studies

The sixth volume of The Journal of Andrew Fuller Studies has just been published. It includes an opening article from myself on Andrew Fuller’s tour of Ireland, June 1804. I have contributed to other editions too (Volume 1 annotations on Extracts from six letters written by 59 Benjamin Beddome in 1759 and 1760 and Volume 2 Consolation in spiritual darkness: A letter from Daniel Turner to Benjamin Beddome 1762).

Westminster Conference 2021

I should have mentioned before now that the papers from the conference at the end of 2021 are now in print. There are eight papers altogether as it includes the two online papers from 2020 on Luther and Bellarmine. The final paper is the printed version of my own on Benjamin Beddome. It reads okay, with only two or three of the most minor of typosSee here.

Books spotted on sale in Grand Rapids, etc

It was gratifying to see my commentaries on Proverbs and Song of Solomon on sale the other week in Darlington (at the North Yorkshire Bible Rally, courtesy of the Reeth Bookshop). My father-in-law recently sent me the above pic of my book on sale at the RHB bookstore in Grand Rapids. So that's good too. (Perhaps I should point out that "And they crucified him" is by a fellow Welshman and Aber graduate Alun Ebenezer).
